Satcom Global (AND Group) undertook a number of projects between 2012 and 2013 on the Rowan Drilling platform, Rowan Gorilla VII, located just off the UK.
This particular project involved the design, supply and commissioning of a dual redundant PA/GA system with integrated drillers talkback system. The system selected was the industry renowned INTRON-D from Industronic, known for its suitability for use in extreme environments.
The INTRON-D is a state of the art two way public address system which comes with a range of stand out features built for performance and safety, such as dual redundancy, permanent self-monitoring of the system and diagnostic memory for quick and clear identification of failures.
The Satcom Global team delivered the design and commissioning of this system to meet stringent DNV, NMD and NORSOK requirements as specified by Rowan Drilling.
